Today’s Blog from the Yogini
Bree’s Space

Here we are:  first blog, site outlined, with some content & pictures already starting to take form.
Although the site is still in the start up phase, and many areas are still under construction, I think it’s off to a great start.

Still unsure as to what direction the site will take, what the overall design & content will be, and/or how MyYogaMentor will evolve & grow over time.

I hope to have blog entries updated weekly, with the next post addressing how we can use yogic philosophy to remain balanced through the holiday season.

Feel free to provide feedback regarding anything you’d like to see added to the site.  Info@myyogamentor.com

MY TAO
Sometimes people live their entire lives without ever finding, exploring or embracing their passion.   Some would call this identification a person’s Tao.  Others would define  it as their  “calling”.  And most, if they haven’t yet found IT, continue to search for their own, personal “meaning of life”.

I have been fortunate to find & embrace my passion.  Forever a student of Ashtanga, I continue to study, learn & seek the wisdom of Pantanjali’s Yoga Sutras developed so long ago.  And although on the grand scale of the universe, and the ladder to Samadhi, I am small & lacking, I still have much to share & teach others.  It’s not just my desire to spread the beauty of yogic philosophy to those who are interested, but also my inherent need.

It’s my passion, my desire & my responsibility:  my calling, my Tao, to make this world a better place.  By teaching non-violence, compassion, acceptance, kindness, contentment, moderation, and tolerance through yogic practice, I can fulfill this calling.  And by remaining teachable myself, and keeping an open mind & heart, I will also forever be a student.

Thank you to my sister, Erin, my photographer, proof-reader, yoga partner & philosophic sounding board.  My husband & best friend, John (The Rock), who keeps me in check, and bends my body around until I match the pictures in the books.  And my two best students, Savanna & Saige.  The best way to learn how to live a yogic lifestyle is simply to watch & mimic the acts of a child.  They are ALWAYS living in the moment.

Namaste,
Bree
